His publicist, Danica Smith, said that he was expected to make a full recovery and that he was responding well to treatment. But early this morning, the world was told of the devastating news.
“passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital,” his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles
He’s survived by his wife Rhonda McCullough, their daughter, Je’Niece, a son-in-law and a granddaughter, Jasmine.
I cant even put into words how sad I am right now. I was just watching “The Bernie Mac Show” last night and then his morning I heard the news. I haven’t felt this sad of a celebrity passing since Aaliyah’s death on August 25th, 2001. I know his legacy will live on forever, because like he always used to say in his standup comedy days “You better not forget me MF”. lol…..RIP BERNIE!
